Violations of this policy result in immediate account suspension and a minimum 30-day ban. Repeat offenders face permanent account termination. We report illegal activity to authorities.
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of PartsTrace's products, services, and technologies (collectively, the "Service"). This policy protects our platform, our users, and the broader internet community from unethical, irresponsible, and illegal activity.
We operate across 15 countries: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and United States. This policy applies uniformly across all jurisdictions, with local laws taking precedence where they impose stricter requirements.
1. User Accountability
You are responsible for all activity on your account, including actions by anyone you permit to access your account or anyone who gains access due to your failure to implement reasonable security measures.
By using our Service, you agree to ensure that you, and anyone using your account, complies with this policy. We will direct complaints about account activity to the registered account holder.
If you or anyone using your account violates this AUP, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately without notice or refund. To the extent permitted by law, no credit will be provided for service interruptions resulting from policy violations.
2. Prohibited Items
You may NOT use our Service to search for, track, or locate the following categories of items. This list is non-exhaustive; we reserve the right to reject any item at our sole discretion.
2.1 Weapons & Dangerous Goods
- Firearms, ammunition, and firearm components
- Explosives, fireworks, and incendiary devices
- Knives designed as weapons (switchblades, butterfly knives, etc.)
- Tasers, stun guns, pepper spray, and similar devices
- Brass knuckles, nunchucks, and martial arts weapons
- Body armour and ballistic protection
- Any item designed primarily to cause harm
2.2 Controlled & Illegal Substances
- Illegal drugs and controlled substances
- Drug paraphernalia and consumption accessories
- Prescription medications without valid prescription
- Precursor chemicals for drug manufacturing
- Substances marketed as "legal highs" or synthetic drugs
2.3 Adult & Explicit Content
- Pornographic materials of any kind
- Sex toys and adult novelty items
- Escort or sexual services
- Any sexually explicit content involving minors (immediate law enforcement referral)
2.4 Stolen, Fraudulent & Illegal Items
- Items you know or suspect to be stolen
- Counterfeit goods and trademark infringements
- Pirated software, media, or digital content
- Forged documents, fake IDs, or counterfeit currency
- Items obtained through fraud or illegal means
- Goods subject to embargoes or trade restrictions
2.5 Human & Animal Products
- Human organs, body parts, or bodily fluids
- Products from endangered or protected species
- Ivory, rhino horn, and CITES-protected items
- Live animals (unless explicitly permitted in your jurisdiction)
- Animal fighting equipment or materials
2.6 Harmful & Offensive Content
- Nazi memorabilia and Holocaust denial materials
- Items promoting racial, ethnic, or religious hatred
- Content glorifying terrorism or violence
- Materials promoting self-harm or suicide
- Defamatory or libellous content
2.7 Regulated & Restricted Items
- Tobacco products and e-cigarettes (where restricted)
- Alcohol (where sale requires licensing)
- Gambling equipment and lottery tickets
- Surveillance equipment and spy devices
- Lock-picking tools and burglary equipment
- Hacking tools and malware
3. Prohibited Conduct
3.1 Fraud & Misrepresentation
- Providing false information during registration
- Using stolen payment methods or financial information
- Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or abuse promotions
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Misrepresenting your relationship with PartsTrace
3.2 System Abuse
- Attempting to access accounts or data you are not authorised to access
- Using automated scripts, bots, or scrapers without permission
- Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or hack our systems
- Introducing malware, viruses, or malicious code
- Conducting denial-of-service attacks or flooding our servers
- Exploiting bugs or vulnerabilities (report them to us instead)
3.3 Harassment & Abuse
- Harassing, threatening, or intimidating other users or our staff
- Stalking or tracking individuals without their consent
- Publishing private information about others
- Engaging in hate speech or discriminatory behaviour
- Inciting violence or illegal activity
3.4 Intellectual Property Violations
- Uploading content that infringes copyrights or trademarks
- Using our Service to facilitate piracy or counterfeiting
- Copying or redistributing our proprietary technology
4. Content Moderation
All items submitted to our Service are subject to automated and manual review. Our moderation systems include:
- AI-Powered Analysis: Automated scanning of item descriptions and images for prohibited content
- Keyword Filtering: Detection of banned terms and suspicious patterns
- Image Moderation: Visual analysis to detect inappropriate or prohibited imagery
- Manual Review: Human review of flagged submissions and appeals
We reserve the right to reject, remove, or modify any content at our sole discretion without explanation or prior notice.
5. Enforcement & Penalties
5.1 Enforcement Actions
Violations of this policy may result in one or more of the following actions:
- Warning and content removal
- Temporary account suspension
- Minimum 30-day account ban
- Permanent account termination
- Forfeiture of subscription fees (no refund)
- Reporting to law enforcement authorities
- Civil legal action to recover damages
5.2 Ban Duration
- First violation: Minimum 30-day ban
- Second violation: Minimum 90-day ban
- Third violation: Permanent ban
- Severe violations: Immediate permanent ban (illegal items, fraud, harassment)
5.3 Ban Evasion
Attempting to circumvent a ban by creating new accounts, using different email addresses, or any other means will result in immediate permanent termination of all associated accounts and may result in legal action.
5.4 Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended in error, you may submit an appeal via our contact page. Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days. Our decision on appeals is final.
6. Reporting Violations
If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it immediately via our contact page. Include as much detail as possible, including:
- The nature of the violation
- Any relevant account information or usernames
- Screenshots or evidence (if available)
- Date and time of the incident
We take all reports seriously and investigate promptly. You may report anonymously, but providing contact information allows us to follow up if needed.
7. Cooperation with Authorities
We cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies in all 15 countries where we operate. This includes:
- Responding to valid legal requests, subpoenas, and court orders
- Proactively reporting suspected illegal activity
- Preserving account data when required for investigations
- Providing testimony or evidence in legal proceedings
Certain violations, particularly those involving child exploitation, terrorism, serious violence, or significant fraud, will be immediately reported to the appropriate authorities regardless of whether a formal request has been made.
8. International Compliance
This policy is designed to comply with the laws and regulations of all jurisdictions in which we operate. Where local laws are more restrictive than this policy, local laws take precedence.

9. Policy Updates

- 30 days after posting for all other changes
We will notify users of material changes via email and/or prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
